Pre - Competitive Team
Canuck Cup ODP Invitational meet Monday February 8, 2010
Athletes from our Mini Pre-Competitive program and their coach, Gwen McNichol, traveled to Mississauga to compete at the Canuck Cup ODP Invitational meet this past weekend at Futures Gymnastics Club in Mississauga on February 5th, 2010.
Athletes were tested on their physical abilities showing strength, flexibility and handstand positions. The tests vary according to age and level. The athletes are awarded a Gold, Silver Bronze or Merit score based on a range of their total points.

7 Barrie Kempettes gymnasts come home with a total of “11 GOLD” Scores!
Athletes from our Junior, Senior and Elite Pre-Competitive program traveled to Richmond Hill to compete at the ASF Gymnastics Club’s “Junior Jungle Challenge” ODP Invitational meet this past weekend on April 17 & 18, 2010. Athletes were tested on their physical abilities showing strength, flexibility and handstand positions. The tests vary according to age level. The athletes are awarded a Gold, Silver Bronze or Merit score based on a range of their total points. Athletes from the Barrie Kempettes Gymnastics Club traveled to Burlington this past weekend to compete at the Burlington Gymnastics Club’s Annual Spring Cup.
The girls came home with …22 GOLD MEDALS, 24 SILVER MEDALS and 11 BRONZE MEDALS!! What an accomplishment!!
*Jessica Turza received a special Judges award for having the “Best Form & Toe point on Beam”.
*Jessica, Hailee and Rachel all moved up a Level for this competition …so this was the first time they have competed at the Level 6 division.
*Kaleigh moved up to Level 8 for this competition …so this was her first time at this level as well.
